We begin season two of Financial Impact Factor Radio on January 3rd and we have a very interesting line-up planned for you. But we have one more “best of” from season one we’d like to share with you. On 11.14.11 the Financial Impact Factor with Paul Petillo, Dave Kittredge and Dave Ng had David J. Abner as a guest. He is the Director for Institutional Sales and Trading at Wisdom Tree and the author of The ETF Handbook: How to Value and Trade Exchange Traded Funds (Wiley Finance)

We had been curious about these funds, that trade like stocks and have been coming to the forefront of the investment world for almost a decade – recently by storm. But even after all that time, their purpose isn’t clearly understood, their benefits less so and the media, suggesting volatility has dampened our enthusiasm towards them. Mr. Abner discusses these products, what they exist and why they are important. ETFs will begin showing up in your 401(k) as investor demand and plan administrator’s fiduciary responsibility tightens. This increase exposure is good for the funds; but are the good for you?

As we continue to rebroadcast our favorite guests of our first season, this episode on credit ranks among the most important. Our second season begins on January 3rd. You can tune in live at 6am in the west/9am in the east at BlogTalkRadio or listen in archived form at this site.

Our guest on the Financial Impact Factor Radio was Gerri Detweiler of Credit.com. She explained to my co-hosts Dave Kittredge and Dave Ng of FinancialFootprint.com and me the ins and outs of credit, debt and dealing with these two financially intertwined events. You need both in the right measure to get a mortgage, save for your kid’s college, invest for retirement, get insurance and in many instances, to get a job as well. Credit A to Z.
